How my Pilates Business got started
I built my Pilates business with nothing but a reformer in a spare bedroom, and a drive to help others. I had zero clients due to Covid lockdowns and I was simply sharing my workouts on Instagram to get me through the unknown.
By the end of 2020 I had my business license and was teaching clients online from all over the country (even across the globe) generated entirely from my online presence. I moved my home so I could find a larger space to accommodate my growing client load and branch into in-studio sessions.
Even though I’ve missed the studio I taught at for several years prior to Covid, I have found a passion for online teaching that I truly enjoy and it’s still a large portion of my work today. Virtual work allows me, and my clients, the ease and a flexibility to train from our homes.
I have no plans to open a brick and mortar, I’ve already done that and things are great as they are right now! Never say never though…change is inevitable.

I have done it all with my Pilates business start up
created my website from the ground up
created my online scheduling system
created my bookkeeping system (even when Quickbooks couldn’t help me create the service structure I needed)
created my daily work tasks to stay consistent and accountable
created session planning templates/follow up forms/survey forms/business cards/logo design
created my online presence organically from an Instagram following of 1,000 to over 10,00 in less than 6 months (currently over 60,00)
created a client base from nothing to a full schedule (all through my online presence or word of mouth)
and most importantly…I created a career I love!
